Free Trade

Everyone should be for Free Trade and I am a big supporter of the global free market system.

However, I am also a big proponent of Nationalism and against giving any of our soverign power over to regional governments such as is happening in Europe and the "Common Market" where a new European Government that would take over the national governments of the "European Economic Community", better known as the EEC is being brought into existance.

George Soros

George Soros is supposedly in favor of the new "Free Trade Area of the Americas" better known as the FTAA.

FTAA is supposedly meant to establish "Regional Authority" to manage the "free trade" agreements.

If he is in favor, maybe we should start doing our homework before our congressmen are supposed to vote on this.

BTW, I have been confused in the past by left wing organizations protesting the WTO, and FTAA thinking that they must be a good idea.

But then when you study "why" they are protesting, you find it is because the organizations don't destroy freedom enough! They want these organizations to have more power to redistribute the wealth and to make policy that subverts our protected freedoms.

FAR.
