There Ought to Be a LAW

Which group makes this cry daily? They are so blinded by the need to control everyone else's lives that they are taking away everyones liberty.

Laws are for the purpose of "forcing" people.

FORCE is the antithesis of FREEDOM.

The next time you here this cry, remember that each law we pass, we will in almost every case "take away freedom."

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." (George Washington, 1732 - 1799)

IT IS FORCE!

Everytime I hear someone say "there needs to be a law", I can't help but think "don't we have enough already?" Geez - there's got to be something in the volumes of legal statutes, federal and state, that addresses most everything that comes up.

Wow! We are sure thinking alike on this one... :)

I wonder if we sent all the lawmakers home for a few years would we really miss them much?

I remember reading somewhere that new laws from state and federal governments should churn slowly and finely because otherwise we get too much bad law mixed in with good law and call it "compromise."

FAR.

We wouldn't miss them at all. There are enough laws on the books to cover everything. Most new laws, regardless of the party supporting it, have to do with redefining who gets to steal my money. Yesterday it was Halliburton and tomorrow it will be a spinach grower in Santa Cruz.
